On August 16th, BOTON celebrated the successful inauguration of its Global Technical Service Centre and Australian Innovation Laboratory in Perth, Australia. The event brought together leaders and representatives from Rio Tinto, BHP, Fortescue, Royhill, Mineral Resources, Neapean, the Australia China Business Council, CITIC Pacific Mining, Zijin Mining, Ansteel Mining, and Baosteel Resources, among others. During the ceremony, BOTON also formalized a strategic partnership with RubberGem, signaling an exciting new chapter in sustainable innovation.

The ceremony commenced with a Welcome to Country address by Mr. Brett Collard, Aboriginal Elder of the Whadjak Noongar People.

Following this, BOTON Chairman Mr. Bao Zhifang took the stage to deliver his welcome speech. He highlighted the establishment of the Global Technical Service Centre as a key milestone in BOTON's journey towards global expansion, representing the company's commitment to its " greening, intelligentization, integration, and globalization." strategy.

Since its founding in 2000, BOTON has dedicated itself to the research, production, and service of rubber conveyor belts, boasting three production bases in China with a total capacity of 45 million square meters. BOTON is also building a digital conveyor belt project in Rayong, Thailand, set to launch in the second quarter of 2025 with an annual capacity of 10 million square meters.

Mr. Bao underscored the importance of the Australian market to BOTON's growth, noting that since entering the region in 2012, BOTON has established two localized companies, BCS and BBA. He referred to Australia as the "Silicon Valley" of the mining industry, with Perth serving as a hub for global mining technology talent. Mr. Bao expressed confidence that the Global Technical Service Centre will thrive in Perth, driven by BOTON's core service principles of "professional reliability and excellence in efficiency," providing superior service to customers worldwide.

In light of global economic uncertainties, ore price fluctuations, energy transitions, and ESG challenges, BOTON has proactively adapted its business model. This includes the successful development of ultra-wear-resistant conveyor belts, ultra-low rolling resistance conveyor belts, and AI-driven intelligent monitoring systems to address customer pain points. BOTON's green development strategy continues to gain momentum, with innovations such as carbon-neutral conveyor belts and bio-based materials. Additionally, BOTON has launched a recycling initiative aimed at processing 50,000 tons of defective products annually within the next three years.

Mr. Ben Woffenden, General Manager of Global Equipment and Diesel Transition at Rio Tinto, expressed in his speech that the cooperation with BOTON has always been very successful. BOTON not only actively responds to various demands from Rio Tinto but also demonstrates excellent problem-solving capabilities in the operation of conveyor belts. Today, with the official establishment of the technical service center, a solid foundation has been laid for future in-depth cooperation between the two parties. Especially in the important areas of environmental protection and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), the two sides will be able to cooperate more closely to jointly promote sustainable development and industry innovation. This move will further enhance the level of cooperation between the two parties and help achieve greater success in green transition.

At the BOTON green and intelligent product launch event, Ralph Berendt, Director of the Global Technical Service Centre, introduced BOTON's vision and goals for intelligent conveyor belt health monitoring systems and a series of intelligent monitoring products. The aim is to enhance the reliability of equipment and the service life of conveyor belts through real-time monitoring, advanced sensor technology, and predictive analysis, creating a digital management platform for intelligent conveyor systems.

Sun Yebing, General Manager of BOTON Australia, introduced the latest technologies and products in BOTON's research and development of green advanced materials, including product manufacturing, ultra-wear-resistant and energy-saving composite materials, bio-based conveyor belts, and high-performance conveyor belt skeleton materials. He highlighted BOTON's leading position in global conveyor belt technology and its role in promoting technological progress within the industry.

David Gilmore, Deputy General Manager of BOTON Australia, spoke about BOTON's ESG development strategy. BOTON Technology has set green development goals for 2025 and 2030, including increasing the proportion of green materials and green energy use, and reducing carbon emissions. The company is also promoting ESG governance and social responsibility globally, carrying out public welfare projects in cooperation with Canadian Indigenous communities. BOTON Technology will continue to promote a more civilized human society through innovation and cooperation.

During the event, BOTON signed a strategic cooperation agreement with RubberGem to promote the recycling of waste rubber products and advance a circular economy. Corey Matters, Founding Director of RubberGem, stated at the signing ceremony that BOTON Technology's involvement signifies a new era for manufacturers in taking on product recycling responsibilities. Unlike many manufacturers who delegate recycling issues to others, BOTON Technology has demonstrated leadership in this field through tangible actions and investments.

Finally, with the official establishment of the Global Technical Service Centre and the Australian Innovation Laboratory, BOTON has opened a new chapter for its technical support team in Perth, focusing on technical services for the health of conveyor belts and systems, providing global support.

The BOTON team is committed to providing customers with excellent technical services and will also test conveyor belts through the laboratory to ensure product quality and reliability. By continuously promoting cooperation through innovative methods, the team provides unique and customized solutions for customers. The team will always maintain a proactive attitude, encouraging all parties to propose new ideas and concepts to jointly promote the development of the industry.

At the grand unveiling ceremony, Mr. Bao and representatives of the invited guests took the stage together. Under the gaze of the audience, accompanied by music and brilliant lighting, the Global Technical Service Centre and the Australian Innovation Laboratory were officially unveiled!
